About Us

Established in 1986, Aminco’s core focus is supplying carbon materials to the global primary aluminum and steel industries. Importantly, Aminco works closely with its customer base to eliminate costs and CO2 emissions by reducing carbon consumption.

Aminco operates in partnership with R&D Carbon Ltd of Switzerland, to technically support production of our carbon products as well as to assist customers with optimizing product consumption.
Aminco’s headquarters is in New York with an office in Beijing. Additionally, we have an extensive network of agents worldwide to support product supply and customer service.

The principals of Aminco Resources have over 100 years of combined experience supplying and producing carbon products to customers in the basic metal industries. From 1990 – 2001, the principals of Aminco owned equity in a US based coke calciner, Venco, in a 50/50 joint venture with Conoco (now Phillips 66), where they were responsible for marketing.

There Is No Substitute for Experience

Our global customer base relies on Aminco for high quality products and on-time supply. This challenge exists in every environment, but especially in the current volatile freight market which is impacted by high fuel prices.

Effective supply chain management begins with proactive involvement in raw material procurement. It continues through participation in the manufacturing process which is synchronized with transportation to customers. For anode shipments, specialized packing, stowage and vessel configuration is also required.

To effectively manage freight exposure, Aminco utilizes multi-modal transportation including rail, truck and ocean transport. Normally the most competitive option is a combination of these alternatives.

In situations where a customer requires just-in-time delivery of critical materials, Aminco maintains a stockpile inventory or consignment stock. This eliminates supply disruption due to transportation delays and also reduces working capital requirements for our customers.

Aminco is only satisfied when our customers are. This translates into having our products be “In Spec and On Time.”
